This comprehensive 2-day meeting will feature timely, accredited educational topics, including PA state-required CE; additional nonaccredited educational sessions; a variety of exhibits; and opportunities to network with colleagues and engage with experts. Who Should Attend

This program is intended for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates treating patients in the primary care setting.

Pain Management Topic
This program is designed to educate HCPs in the United States, particularly HCPs practicing in settings with multidisciplinary and interprofessional healthcare teams, including physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician associates, pharmacists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, dental professionals, and optometrists. Target Audience

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify fundamental concepts of pain management, including mechanisms of pain; risk factors for misuse, abuse and opioid use disorder; and appropriate assessment of pain 
  • Create an individualized, patient-specific pain treatment plan that safely and effectively integrates the range of therapeutic options, including initiating therapy, titrating, and discontinuing nonopioid medications and opioid analgesics  
  • Design an individualized patient and caregiver education plan on the safe use, storage, and disposal of opioid analgesics and the role of reversal agents
  • Construct a systematic approach to screening for and appropriately managing patients with opioid use disorder

Psychologist Continuing Education

Continuing education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

This activity offers 2.5 continuing education credit for psychologists.

Social Work Continuing Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Clinical Care Options, LLC is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 2.5 clinical continuing education credits.
