A Switch in ART: Including Patient Preference in Best Practice

When people with viral suppression have any dissatisfaction with aspects of their regimen, we should be ready to make a switch in ART. Read why finding the ideal fit for each person is best achieved through careful listening and shared decision-making practices. 

After all, the ever-increasing armamentarium available for HIV treatment provides us with the opportunity to more fully optimize ART changes in ways that extend beyond maintaining viral suppression, allowing each person to have an effective regimen that also fits well with their individual life circumstances, goals, and preferences.
